Outings
The Island Hope Childcare, Sandown

Last year our visits included a trip to the fire station, woods, Magic Island and Amazon World.

More recently, the children have been learning about "The senses". This included activities in and out of the setting such as walks to the shops where children helped to buy and pay for the shopping along with visits to cafes to taste different foods.

News
We are now offering Caterpillar Music sessions on Monday's at 11.15am for just £2.50 and ballet lessons for the under 5's on a Thursday also at 11.15am for £1.50.
Children do not have to be registered with us to be able to access these additional sessions with a parent or carer.

We can also now provide Holiday Club, After School Club and school pick up for children of school age up until eight years old.

The Island Hope Childcare
The Island Hope Childcare continues to grow rapidly. Our baby room is becoming quite popular. There is always something different for the children to experience. Last week the little ones were engaging in baked beans play (on the messy side), and heuristic (natural objects) play allowing them to explore tins and wooden spoons etc. Children have been able to access the garden and have been out for walks to feed the ducks.

The toddler room is also busy. Children have enjoyed playing with gloop (a lovely mixture of cornflour and water), as well as other art and craft activities and role play. They have also been in the garden and have been to feed the ducks and play in the park.

The Pre school has two groups of children.(Monkeys are 2 1/2 yrs - 3+) in one group and the Tigers 3 1/2 yrs -next school year are the older group.
