Staff

All Island Day Nursery staff are fully qualified with the relevant childcare training ranging from Level 3 NVQ up to post graduate degree. All our staff are fully trained in Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid which is renewed regularly, with more senior staff doing a higher level of Safeguarding training.

Our staff also attend regular training through the workforce and development programme, as well as in house and online training. This enables staff to keep updated with new practices and ways for the children to learn.

Each of our settings has a designated SENCO (Special Educational needs Co ordinator) so the needs of all the children that attend our settings are being met.

All our staff are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked prior to commencing employment.
